Iran Election

It's 25th of June 2009 and I wonder about what the Iran Government has turned peaceful protests into. Videos show that every protest has become a farce, since police uses CS-Gas to disperse the people, riot police violates every form of right and beats people nearly to death in their gardens and protesters in general seem to have become individuals without any rights, since they're beaten and shot dead on the street or arrested, and what happens to them in jail is probably even worse than what we can see happening on the streets, since nobody exept the police itself could record the violence.
I further wonder what government in europe and asia can do, since Iran is just a few hours away from most states by plane. But Mrs. Merkel is in the USA, visiting the American President Obama, who is of course in the USA, Mrs. Merkel meeting with Mrs. Clinton, who of course as well is in the US and so on. Most of the important people seem to have other things to do than protect human rights which are broken without any rules, hours away, hurting people who are so much alike us, helpless, facing the violence of a regime.
